In  May,  1900  W.  Weatherly  purchased  'Blythvale  Estate',  Streatham,  Vic,  with  the  whole  of  the  merino  flock,  including  11,573  ewes,  from  the  trustees  of  J.  Ritchie.  J.  Ritchie,  and  later  his  trustees,  held  BLYTHVALE  for  about  40  years  and  maintained  a  merino  flock  on  it  throughout  that  time.  Through  sales  of  portions  of  the  estate  from  time  to  time  the  BLYTHVALE,  F.  No.  134,  flock  of  ewes  was  reduced  from  11,573  in  1900  to  3406  in  1922.  In  1919,  the  whole  of  the  breeders  were  classed  with  the  idea  of  forming  a  small  stud  flock  under  the  management  of  the  trustees,  Blythvale  Estate,  and  rams  were  secured  from  EURAMBEEN,  F.  No.  234,  to  join  with  the  selected  ewes.  This  stud  was  resigned  as  at  January  2016
