This  stud  was  founded  about  1902  by  H.J.  and  A.T.  Lory  by  the  purchase  of  Tasmanian  blood  sheep  from  the  late  C.S.  Reading,'Studall',  Wallaloo,  Vic.  In  1922,  rams  were  purchased  from  LAMARA,  SA,  F.  No.  326.  Later,  rams  were  purchased  from  COLLINSVILLE,  SA,  F.  No.  318,  rams  from  this  stud  only  being  introduced  until  1951.  On  the  death  of  his  father,  H.J.  Lory,  A.H.  Lory  inherited  a  portion  of  the  stud.  On  the  death  of  Albert  H.  Lory  in  October  1992,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  his  only  daughter,  Janice  Hendy,  with  Paul  Hendy,  a  grandson,  managing  the  stud.  In  March  2007  the  trading  name  changed  to  Lukytala  Family  Trust.
