This  stud  was  founded  in  March,  1985,  by  Elsdon/Barton  by  the  purchase  of  3  rams  from  ASHROSE,  Poll  F.  No.  191,  1  ram  from  CARRAMAR  HILLS,  Poll  F.  No.  892,  1  ram  from  NORTH  BUNGAREE,  Poll  F.  No.  135,  1  ram  from  POLLVILLE,  Poll  F.  No.  488,  73  ewes  from  NORTH  BUNGAREE,  Poll  F.  No.  135,  and  73  ewes  from  ASHROSE,  Poll  F.  No.191.  On  19th  May  1997,  the  stud  was  divided  and  Frank  Youl  continued  operating  the  stud  under  the  name  BARTON  POLL.  In  December  2014  approximately  90%  of  the  stud  was  sold  to  Nareeb  Nareeb  with  the  balance  of  the  stud  relocated  from  Campbell  Town  to  Evandale  by  Frank  Youl,  trading  as  Barton  Pastoral.
