History
This  stud  was  founded  in  1890  by  Michael  Jackman  by  the  selection  of  ewes  from  the  commercial  flock  at  Clear  Lake  and  Toolondo,  Vic,  based  on  WINTON  bloodline.  From  1930-70,  rams  purchased  were  basically  WINTON  with  occasional  MERRYVILLE  and  HAVILAH.  Since  1970,  rams  have  been  used  from  WINTON,  SIERRA  PARK,  MERRYVILLE,  GRATHLYN,  HILLCRESTON  and  STREANSHALH.  In  1990,  the  whole  stud  was  moved  to  Boorowa,  NSW,  and  following  inspection  was  first  registered  in  1991.  The  stud  is  conducted  by  a  family  partnership  consisting  of  D.A.  (great  grandson  of  Michael  Jackman),  V.L.  and  C.P.  Carey.  In  April  1996,  the  stud  name  was  changed  from  MURRUMDON  to  BALLYHOOLEY.  The  stud  was  dispersed  23/11/2016.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  May  2017.
