This  stud  was  founded  in  February,  1957,  by  A.J.  Hayes  by  the  purchase  of  12  ewes  from  WINTON,  Campbell  Town,  Tas,  and  1  ram  from  SIERRA  PARK,  Vic,  F.  No.  1742.  In  1964,  A.J.  Hayes  took  J.K.  and  I.T.  Hayes  into  a  partnership  which  traded  as  Balintore  Partnership.  Following  the  death  of  A.J.  Hayes  in  1967,  J.K.  and  I.T.  Hayes  continued  as  members  of  the  partnership.  On  the  death  of  I.T.  Hayes  in  1985,  the  Balintore  Partnership  was  dissolved  and  ownership  passed  to  J.K.  &  G.  Hayes.  In  1991,  son  Peter  R.  Hayes  became  a  part  owner  and  is  joint  manager  with  J.K.  Hayes.  In  1996,  the  ownership  was  changed  to  P.R.  &  G.  Hayes.  In  2002,  the  ownership  was  changed  to  P.R.  &  B.C.  Hayes.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  January  2017
