This  stud  was  founded  in  1923  by  H.B.  Vanrenen  by  the  selection  of  150  ewes  from  the  AVOCA  FOREST  flock.  These  ewes  were  mated  with  CARNGHAM,  F.  No.  1281,  and  COBRAN,  F.  No.  22,  rams.  The  AVOCA  FOREST  flock  was  commenced  about  1880,  CARNGHAM,  F.  No.  1281,  and  COBRAN,  F.  No.  22,  rams  being  used  from  1916.  In  1962,  the  registration  of  the  flock  was  transferred  to  W.A.,  A.D.  and  D.S.  Vanrenen  and  in  1963  R.C.  Vanrenen  was  admitted  to  the  partnership.  In  1967,  W.A.  Vanrenen  withdrew.  Following  the  death  of  A.D.  Vanrenen  in  1968,  D.S.  and  R.C.  Vanrenen  purchased  his  share  from  the  estate  and  at  the  same  time  admitted  their  son,  P.H.  Vanrenen,  into  the  partnership.  D.S.  Vanrenen  died  26.8.92.  Peter  Vanrenen  is  now  Principal  and  Classer.  In  2004  the  flock  was  leased  but  still  run  on  the  original  property.  Resigned  December  2010.
